Jan 2nd - 1 1/2 days 'till I'm back at work

I've started a blog. YAY!

Hmm, maybe "YAY!" is a bit much?

Anyways, Here's where I'm going to be writing the crap that comes to my mind.

Right now, I'm thinking "Bloody headache!"

I hit the cinema today for the first time this shiny new year.

What did I see? New Moon. Why New Moon? Well, because I've recently developed the most ridiculous crush on the stunning Kristen Stewart.

Now, I'm not normally a legs person, but DAMN! (I'm pulling a trademark KStew lip bite)

After purchasing all her films on DVD. I've watched them all in order, watching her grow from a kick-ass smart mouth tomboy, to sexy, slightly awkward woman. And dang what a woman! (More musings about her womanliness at a later date).
New Moon - I saw it. Next on the list. It was my third time seeing it. I had planned on only two, but then my Stewcrush happened.
Six weeks (I think?) after it opened, and third times a charm. Jacob took his shirt off and I didn't have to listen to girls scream and oooh and ahhh. I let out an audible sigh of relief I think when it didn't happen. The most I heard was a slight squeaky sound to my right, and that might have been the coughing couple trying to restrain a coughing fit.

Best screening yet, but not problem free.

I sit through the entire film, including the end credits. It's part of my movie going experience, and my little nod of respect to those who put their time and effort into making something I enjoy so much (and I love the kick-ass music that normally plays out the credits). Generally I can get through the credits with barely an interruption. Obviously there's the big kerfuffle at the beginning, but that's done with after a minute or so. The most I have to contend with is eager cleaners coming in a tidying up around me.

Bare in mind I'm in a tiny screen. Less than a hundred seats. With maybe 20 people at most in the screening. The guy comes in, cleaning up. Not too bad. Normal. Then he looks at me and sees I'm watching the credits, singing along (New Moon Soundtrack rules!) quietly. So he watches the credits himself for maybe 20 seconds. Fine by me. Then his stupid walkie-talkie starts going off. Does he leave? No. He walks to the back of the screen (a few rows behind me) and leans against the wall, talking on and off into it. Then a couple people try to walk into the screen. HELLO! The films still flippin' rolling! Just because you have no appreciation for the art of film making, doesn't mean we all don't! Why the hell did they start letting people in when the film's still rolling?
Thankfully the noisy cleaner guy tells them to wait outside.
Then his walkie keeps going off! It's evident I'm not leaving until the credits end, but no he stays there talking into his walkie constantly!
Then no sooner have I stood up - "Screen 7 clear!" Jeez, I paid money for this viewing. A little more respect.

If it'd been my first viewing of the film, I would've flipped and got vocal with the manager. I'm kind of sad I didn't make some kind of mess to piss the cleaner guy off.
Maybe next time?
